Have a 1989 C30 MKII and have discovered a interesting leak. A dark tea colored liquid (water) coming from the quarterbirth port that opens into the cockpit. It appears as though this area is a joint between the inner cabin and outer cockpit and collects water into a some joint space and then only leaks out when heeling and leaks out into the cockpit only, no leakage has been detected into the interior and the source of the water from the top of the port. Anyone ever experience this and any suggestions on a fix, short of rebedding the Port. Thanks

Why not rebed?

Rebedding really isn't that difficult unless 5200 was used previously, which seems highly unlikely. Once you remove the port, you might want to apply thickened epoxy to the exposed area to seal it up. Then use 4200 or Lifecaulk to rebed it with (after the epoxy is cured). LaDonna
