cockpit configuration

We are looking to move up to a cat 30 from our h27. We know that there is one year that the cockpit becomes larger because of cutouts for the wheel. Cant seem to tell if it's 85, 86, or 87 that this extra room is created. please help, we need the extra room for 3 kids in the cockpit.Also, what year does the forward hatch become glass?

Hello, I think that the "T" cockpit came out in 1980. Its a lot more room and they also put the intstrement panell up where you can see it.

Hi,I have a 1980 model but do not have a T cockpit. I do not think I have ever seen this before. I was looking at early 80s models last year when I bought mine and never saw this. Must be late 80s or early 90s????Paul

87 is the year

The new configuration came out in 1987 for the cockpit. As well, the v-berth hatch was changed to a plexiglass hatch, and lot's of other little items.
