Should be available
My Ericson used CNG, which I loved as a fuel, but which was a real pain to get refills for. I finally learned about this site:http://www.eere.energy.gov/afdc/infrastructure/refueling.htmlwhich allows you to locate filling stations that have CNG pumps. It says there are 3 within a 25 mile radius of Tampa Bay.The next trick is how to fill them. I had been paying $50 each for a refill, but I then found a filling adaptor for sale from these folks:http://www.corpbrothers.com/marine.htmThe adaptor that allowed me to fill up my tanks was $140, but with it I was able to fill 4 tanks for about $1.98 total cost in methane gas.The problem you will find is that Corp Brothers quite selling the adaptor, so you are on your own for coming up with the equipment you need. The reason was that some of the filling stations are now 3600 or 4500 psig, and you can only use up to 3000 psi in your tank and still be safe. You might be able to put it together if you visit a compressed gas supplier. When I sold my boat I gave away the adaptor to a friend, because I also did not want the liability of having someone mess up using it.CNG is great stuff is that it is lighter than air, but in every other way it is a pain. It has fewer BTUs than LPG, and you can store much less on board. One tank only lasts about 20 hours of single burner time, so we easily went through our two tanks in a 4 week cruise, with no possibility of getting a refill while on holiday.Steve Christensen
