Just a quick note to everyone. I have been working on my cat 30 and have removed all the deck hardware to rebed them. After removing the plate were the forstay is connected to i have noticed that 1 bolt was broken threw and the other were about half way threw. The bolts go down threw the ss plate , threw the deck and threw a backing plate. It looks like the bolts had been loose and were chafing on the backing plate, which caused them fail over time.
