I have an older Acer switch windows table that I use to run OpenCPN. It doesn't have GPS so I purchased a USB GPS adapter. They are pretty cheap. The tricky part is not breaking them. To help with that I puts some velcro on it and on the back of the tablet and use a cable and velcro the GPS to the back rather than letting it stick out of the USB port directly.
