Maine Sail, do you have the "cigarette lighter" receptacle for these DC USB charger plugs wired directly to the batteries (fused, of course) so that they are always 'hot', or are they switched somehow?

Since the subject is 6v batteries in a 2, 4, 6 bank, what chargers are being used? For instance when my C27 was converted to electric propulsion, I used four 12V AGM in series (48Vdc) and used a 4 bank 12V, 10 amp charger. I did a quick search and found very few 6Vdc multiple bank chargers, NOCO genius was the only one I found. So are you treating 2 batteries in series with a 12V charger?

It is a 12V bank so you simply use 12V chargers...

12V outlets should ideally be "switched" at the DC panel...

I've seen a lot of posts back and forth about battery choices, alternators, etc.

I did switch to 6v last year. I put 4 under the Nav Table.

As a house bank, it's tremendous!
