changing location of batteries

Does anyone know if there is a way to move the batteries to the cabinet underneath the navigation table on a 1979 Catalina 30'?

Batteries

I have a 1985 Cat 30, and the batteries are located under the nav. table in that cabinet. They were there when I bought it, but it should be easy to do. The cables run to a bat. switch on the panel and from there under the stbd side of the cabin to the engine. Good Luck.

Voltage Drop

Don't forget that the farther you move the batteries from the battery selector switch, the lower the voltage to the starter. You may want to consider going to the next larger cable size to reduce voltage drop.
