Looking for 350 ft of chain. Shocked by west marine price. Will look up fishery supplies since am local. Anyone has suggestion where I can find good chain for good value? Thank you!
Or no more than 350' from Seattle. ;-)Yes to local, obviously. Seattle area.
Phil, that's why I asked.Stu: It's not uncommon to carry that much chain here if you're serious about waking up in the same location where you went to sleep. Plenty of anchorages are 60' at high tide... unlike SF Bay, where you sail in 6' of water with a 3' chop.![]()
give this outfit a call... I work with them a lot and they are good honest people to deal with. they should be able to come in about 50% of WM's prices....Looking for 350 ft of chain. regardless of what specifically we are talking about, I agree with this sentence 100%.my boat desires not shiny gorgeous stealable stuff but functional items not looking like wealth or privilege.
You can really do that by hand? I choose waternwaves to be on my team. Regardless of the sport. Even chess.speaking of love hate relationships with ground tackle.
I absolutely love my 66 lb (30kg) bruce except when I have to haul it and the chain up by hand, (its the occasional deepset mudball that is the killer). It looks so 'seaworthy' on the anchor roller in the slip:Liar:![]()
