This past August (2002)I purchased a brand new 19' Menger Cat sailboat. The exterior teak on the boat was prepared at the builders with Cetol. The boat was in the water for three months before being setup for the winter. Spring is coming and I am getting ready to prepare the boat for the upcoming season. Even though the Cetol is in "ok" shape I would like to clean it up 100% for the season. My dilemma is ....Do I take it down to the wood and start from scatch (again, it was only exposed to the elements for about 3 months. It is in pretty good shape)? Can I just sand down sections that need repair and work on those? How do you prepare for Cetol ontop of Cetol?
