I just purchased a 1995 Hunter 26 and took it out for the first time yesterday. I really like the boat, but when we came in we found it extremely difficult to raise the centerboard. We finally got it up by pulling the rope at the foot of the mast and winching in the slack. I looked in the manual and saw that there should be a block arrangement which gives better mechanical advantage for raising the centerboard. It is called the Center Board Control Line System. It basically looks like a couple of blocks connected to the uphaul line. Does anyone have a better drawing or picture of this arrangement than what is in the manual. Should I be able to make this up myself? How difficult is it typically to raise the centerboard when properly rigged? Thanks for the help,Paul
