CE Rating, Is this for real?

I was browsing on Catalina's page the other day and found where they had given the new C30 an A rating. Somebody talk to me. Cat says that the C30 is an Offshore Vessel. Now I did spend three days in a nasty storm in the Gulf last summer, winds @40+ kts for about nine hours total, and the boat did a great job of keeping me alive, but is this for real?

I went and looked at their web page and they now have the ratings listed for each of their boats. We have a 310 that also has an "A" rating. A structual rating does not necessarily mean it will be the most comfortable sail in a blow, just that it will hold up under the pounding.
