Your measurements compared to the I,J data for the boat.

I = vertical height. SBData 20 ft. 240" your size at 150" would have the sail a bit short of the height of the triangle.

J = the base SBData 6.5 ft. 78" your size at 92" would put the prosed sail shape at 110%. A bit beyond the mast on the foot of the sail. This would not be a bad foot length.

On a square foot size comparison. The Catalina Measurements indicate a jib sail at 65 sqft. The size in your drawing would be a sail of 47.9 sqft.

Hello,

I have a question. Would this size jib fit Catalina 18?
NO, absolutely not. It is the wrong shape; Just knowing the "I" and "J" isn't going to help you much if you don't know anything about sail measurement. A mainsail will have 90 deg angle at clew, but a jib, or any headsai ford that matter, will not.

Here is a link that will show you how measure sails. It also has your Capri 18 in its database with all dimensions and a quote for a new jib.
It is important that you take the time to learn the basics with any sailboat issue, from rigging and sails to anchoring, plumbing, electrical etc.
