dock side water
I assume that you are wanting to hook up to dock side water pressure so that you do not have to run your on board water pump and have to fill the water tanks all of the time. A Catalina 30 on our docks T'd into the cold water line under the head sink and ran a hose up to the anchor locker. There they put a pressure reducer (bought at any RV center) and a one way valve. Now when they come in to the dock, they just hook up the water hose in the anchor well with a quick connect to the dock water and they have an endless supply of water with no water pump noise. When away from the dock, the normal water system works like it always did before getting water from the pump and onboard tank. I would caution you to always turn off the water any time you are away from the boat. If a hose were to break, the amount of water leaking into the boat would also be endless!
