Has anyone with a C27 replaced any deck core? How thick was it? Today I got into some wet core around the upper shroud chain plate and found the plywood to be 1/4 inch. The top skin was almost 1/4 inch and the bottom was the liner and was also at least 1/4 inch and probably slightly thicker. I'd also like to know how thick it is around the cabin top. I guess I'll find out soon enough myself.

When I drilled holes for the anchor roller it seemed thicker.

Yeah, when I oversized and epoxied the holes for my stanchions and bow pulpit bases it seemed thicker too. But in the area around the chainplate there is no question that it was 1/4 inch

Got into the cabin top core today. Took out a section next to and parallel with the hand rails. Core was 1/4 inch plywood. What's under the plywood is the headliner and some kind of thickened material. Per Catalina this thickened material is there to make sure there is a bond between the headliner and the plywood. I guess I'm a little surprised that there isn't a bottom skin of fiber glass on the plywood. I guess the bottom skin is the headliner, which is pretty thick. It's hard to tell where the headliner ends and the thickened bedding compound begins.
