can you reach that?

I need to replace the pin on the engine control cable clamp, which is on the forward side of the steering pedistal. I have been in there with a good visual inspection and for lube. I don't see how to reach the clamp with out taking off the steering chain gear. Is there a quick fix....? thanx

Sorry...You've go to do it....

I replaced my steering cables, and the only way down there is to loosen the chain and take it off the sprocket. I was cursing the entire engineering department at edson for four hours.
