Pretty sure someone else is doing all that for you, Charlz. Pass the caviar please, old boy.My first thought, was yes please! But then I got thinking... every time you wanted to unfurl those suckers and get some wind on, you'd have to prep 300 feet of vessel for it, locking down silverware, plates, glassware, etc. All that would be great at anchor or under motor, but the heeling might make it hard to sit down and eat, which would be a shame because that really should be under sail most of the time!
meh...now the payments are a tax write-off for the owner. You can charter it for around $480 000 off season. To $529 000 peak season.
Those #'s are US $. Per week.
I'll stick with chartering MacGregors for now.
Yeah, the black ball was the only thing I recognized.Anchored.
So the concept was proved and it was successful. I haven't seen any trickle down. When Tom Perkins owned it, he sailed the CRAP out of it. Raced it as well, where it owns many point-to-point speed records. Anyway, in a decent breeze its much faster under sail than motor anyway.
