I haven’t had any issues with Zebra mussels in many years Dave. One year I found up a bunch on top of my rudder upon haulout, but I haven’t seen them in a while.
Asian carp are more of an environmental challenge as they feed on many “good” fish.
But the worst part of sailing on the Great Lakes is the solid form of water that seems to inflict us annually.
