There's a reason this marina is so cheap

Once in a while a north wind blows the water out of the Chesapeake, most often in winter.

Not a big deal for the multihulls.;)

Not a major metro area, but the closest Chesapeake Bay harbor to Washington DC. About 2000 slips in the town of Deale, MD. Some of the marinas are very $$ and some are not. The Potomac river is obviously closer, but it's not a sailor's choice.

$3.50 per foot per month. But yes, it can be shallow.

The normal tide is about 1 foot, but sustained north winds can increase this to 2-3 feet.

Thinwater,
When was that picture taken? It has been a few years since the water was that low and snow around.

Dave very clearly a foe ..A good bottom paint keeps them off . They tend to clog inlet strainers on every type of fitting . From boats to inlet strainers on power generating station for the Electric company
