Hi everyone.
Well. Mother winter just couldn't let us go without one more big dose of snow. We had a couple 60 degree days a few weeks back but now expecting snowfall tomorrow of 18 in. and throw in some 65 MPH winds for the fun of it. The joy of Boston and the occasional Noreastuh!
Anyway, with the day coming tomorrow I'll be in the basement continuing to rehab the teak sole I pulled from the cabin of my 1985 O'Day 28 this past Fall. A couple questions on my rehab work (and do see photos). 1) I have a couple pieces of stripped (heat gun) flooring that clearly are no longer in the same color family (no, I didn't burn them). Not clear how this would have happened, but now wondering how to get the 5-6 pieces I've pulled to look somewhat similar before I put on a protective cover, i.e. Interlux varinsh? 2) Related, there is a plastic edge piece which fits into the side groove of the teak flooring - I'm certain it serves a purpose but I can't seem to find replacement plastic edge anywhere (not even Rudi & D&R). Time for me to wing it??
All guidance appreciated on above two questions. To those of you in the New England area - Happy Snow Day!
