Another option if your plywood bulkheads are in poor shape of to paint them white or off white to match the fiberglass parts. This brightens up the cabin considerably and is actually a more traditional treatment. The bulkheads on my Columbia were covered in a fake teak plastic laminate that had faded on spots and had old screw holes, etc. I filed the holes, cleaned and sanded them and painted them off white semigloss latex over Glidden Gripper primer. (Got it all at Home Depot). I also stripped and varnished all the real teak trim in semi gloss. The result is much brighter, cleaner, and looks great.
