Cabin port hole screens

Ok, this may NOT be the most technical question but can someone steer me in the right direction for how I can fashion some screens for the two opening ports on my Catalina 270, 95 year. I have some screens from previous owner but it is not clear to me how they are installed - they are ripped to boot.Given the size of our bugs here - any help appreciated.Bill

I would contact the manufacturer of the portlights. I just purchased screens from Lewmar for my '88 Cat 30.

Port hole C30

Bill,I just fixed mine on my C30 1987. Don't if they're much different on a C27. I think they are lewmar or at least they look like them, I had two screws to loosen for the screen to come out. Then I bought at home depot some residential window screen (5$for a roll) and proceeded with removing the old damaged screen. You have to pull out the rubber that holds the screen into the groove, then cut the new screen to suit porthole screen and reinstall the rubberby pressing in back into place. It took me no more than ten minutes a port hole and total 5$. Not worth buying new ones!!!Hope this helps."G"
