Love the pics!

Really like the looks of that dinghy. What are your thoughts on it?
That's a MiniPaw dinghy from BandB Yacht designs iin North Carolina. My second one. 7'6" and very handy. I made a few mods to it that Graham liked-added a bulkhead under aft thwart and made it a storage area.. Towed it many miles :) Quite capable little dink

Edited to correct length- it's 6"6"

Based on my five or so years of experience here's what I would recommend. Try soap and a stiff brush first. Then try some stripper. I can recommend TotalBOat's water based stripper. It's easier on the lungs than citrus and other strippers. This should preserve the finish/sheen and antiskid pattern of the gelcoat underneath. I'd try to avoid sandpaper as this could ruin the gelcoat finish. You can bring the finish gelcoat back by sanding with 400-800 grit paper but that's definitely work and a lot of toxic dust flying around. We did the sides of my 25' boat outside with some very nice sanding equipment, specialized vacuum and standard 3M respirators. We could tell that some dust was getting into our masks. As a reference, that project took about 20-25 hours.
