C30 Fin vs Wing Performance

I'm sure this is an old subject but it is one that I am not knowledgeable of - so here goes. Does anyone know the performance differences between the C30 wing keel and the fin? There is a C30 with a wing for sale here and I'm interested but I have always considered myself a fin guy. Thanks. A. K. Moser

Just Wing it! go for that extra lift catalina wing keels are the best

Fins point higher

Fins point higher. All other things being equal, the fin will outpoint the wing. That being said, while cruising the difference is too small to measure. In racing it is not too small to measure but isn't a major factor. If I were just a cruiser, I'd go for a wing if I liked the boat.
