Hello again, Will a Yamaha 9.9 high thrust four stroke be sufficient to power a C27? I will be boating in the Portsmouth, NH area which has interesting tides and river currents. Any help greatly appreciated!!!!! Thanks, Tim
I have a Honda 4-stroke 15hp which is way more than I need on my 27. I made a trade with a guy, so choice wasn't really a factor. I love it! It gets me in & out of tight spots with no troubles at all. A 9.9 would do exactly what I need on the river here (we also have some interesting currents). Be sure they come with cockpit controls - they're a must! LaDonna
Yes by all means the 9.9four stroke yamaha is great it has tremendous thrust from the big prop and use nothing for gas i found that hull speed was there at 1/2 trottle and they also a big output alternator on them they are great the only disatvantage is that they are a little heavier
