I am looking to purchase a C22 with swing keel. I live in Long Island where I would have it on mooring or boat slip. For winter months I want to bring it down to Florida. Any recommendations for trailer? Also the Bronco Sport is kinda wimpy ( wish I kept my F150) would that be a problem?

The Bronco tow capacity is rated between 2000 and 2200 lbs. The C22 displacement is 2250... add the trailer weight and outboard etc. and....... no! I would not take a 20 hour road trip towing that boat with a Bronco.
Ok if I had a vehicle with a heavier tow capacity what about the trailer? Concerns? Modifications?
What about the trailer?
We don't know anything about the one you have. Breaks are nice to have but not a deal breaker on a 22'. Make sure the tires are in good shape and not too old (its not all about tread). If your side walls show any cracks at all.... you tire is dry rot.
Make sure the bearings are freshly packed/greased. Have a good spare, some chocks, properly sized tire iron and a good jack. I also keep a set of spare bearings in my tool kit. Make sure the lights work. I'd also make sure you have yellow running lights along the sides of your trailer... especially if you are going to drive at night. Test drive it and make sure you have enough weight on the trailer tonge to keep it from swaying.
I'd say you'd be better off with a second boat rather than making that trip twice a year.
The Catalina 22 National Sailing Association - Blog - can give you better Cat 22 specific advice. I would join to learn more about your boat. I found the Mariner Class Association to be a godsend in learning my Mariner, well worth the $15/year.
All up your rig is going to weigh close to 3500 lbs. Your tow vehicle needs at least that tow rating, and preferably more. For towing that distance, you will want trailer brakes. Trailer brakes are required in some states for anything over 2000 lbs. You are on the borderline for a tandem axle trailer. Tandem axles tow better, but cost and weigh more.

MY objection to the West Wight Potter 19 is the daggerboard instead of centerboard. I like to run up on the beach or in shallows - the daggerboard is not nearly as handy.
Other reasons I chose a Mariner over a WWP 19:
All up weight of Mariner with trailer is right at 2,000 lbs, easily towed by my minivan or V6 SUV (Hyundai Palisade, Kia Sorento, Honda Oydessy). Have towed from Indiana to eastern NC, and NC to Connecticut.

Other reasons I chose a Mariner over a WWP 19:
- larger cockpit (does mean less cabin space)
- faster - much more sail area on longer waterline
- not slab sided - less windage when trying to anchor or dock. Easier to board from the water.
- much less costly for the same condition. WWP has a cult following which keeps used prices considerably higher, IMO.
