Prop
Bill,I had a 3 blade fixed prop on my new Catalina 320 and also had bad prop walk. I had a 2 blade folding prop on my last boat and it sailed well but lost 1/2kt in powering. Prop walk still there though because leading edge of the prop still faces forward.Key point, only with a feathering prop will the leading edge reverse itself when backing up.This eliminates prop walk entirely on my boat and gives solid and fast power in reverse. I bought the Autostream from martec but have also heard great things about Maxprop and autoprop though they are more expensive. The cost is a little high at $1750 but considering the cost of the boat and the vast improvement in sailing ability and superior reverse I'm glad I spent the bucks!Boat speed powering forward the same 7.25kts @ 3600RPM
