15 out of the East
Below is a link to that pilot chart mentioned previously. I just learned to look at the things and it looks like the wind blow force 4 (13-18 knots) 60% of the time, with the majority of the rest of the time from SE and NE. We chartered down there last May and I would say we had 10-15 knot winds all week with some periods of 5 knots, but none really of 20. Mostly out of the East, but I seem to remember one morning with some westerly winds? Nice easy sailing. We had some rain and small storms for the first 4 days, but then the sunshine took over - that has probably nothing to do with the season? The temperatures were nice and things were not too crowded. May seems like a good time to go. Seems better than January with the "Christmas Winds" that you hear about.
