For lack of any other responses, the only comment I'd offer is that people don't typically replace an old furler unless they have to...

On our C&C 24,

we went new with an Alado furling unit and it was about $1,000 for the unit and headsail alteration.

The unit installed very easily with me and a couple of buddies (should only take about 2 hours). cost about $650. And the headsail alteration was cutting off the edge and adding the luff tape, cost about $200. Would have been about $200 more to add some sunbrella to the edge. If you plan to keep the boat, I would add the sunbrella. I knew we would only have the boat for another 2 years tops at that point. And I opted for the more expensive furling lead kit from Harken that didn't have the ankle bitters; that was another $200 with line.

I looked at CDI units and chose the Alado because you really could put this on without a rigger and the stick up. You also did not need to change the end to the head stay to fit in the drum.

I just went on the Alado website and the unit that would fit your boat is $780 and they are running a free shipping special. So, if your headsail is any good, you would be into it for around $1,100 for a new unit instead of a used.

Good luck.
