Leaking shower caused damage to bulkhead under table seat. Damaged area approx. 18" wide by 12" high. Is this bulkhead structural? Looking for suggestions for a repair process.

Are we talking about the main bulkhead that has the port chainplate and abuts the compression post?

From the size of the rotten area described I would replace it on my boat. Use the old as a template and get a good marine plywood.

if it sets under the mast you can bet its a very importent structural component of the boat.

True bulkheads are by definition structural. On sailboats they can support the standing rigging, the mast compression, and also add rigidity to the hull in general, which makes the boat stiff.

You can have areas of bulkheads that are cut out or damaged, but in general the more intact they are, the better.
