I have an 01 Hunter 420 that I'm looking to sell. There are a few issues that need to be dealt with and I'm wondering if I should spend the money before I sell the boat, or sell as is:
* sails: must be replaced. Both are original. Guess I'd have to spend about 5,000
* windlass: motor burnt up last month, new one is 1,600, new motor is about $500.
* detailing: gel coat is a little chalky with numerous stains. a local guy can make the boat look NEW, but would cost almost 4,000. The guy is amazing and will make every exterior surface look perfect.
Would I be better of just selling as is, doing some, or all of above?
