Need to replace a broken Goose Neck on an old Catalina 42 Mk-1. Catalina Direct says their vendors is not making the aluminum casting any more. Catalina Direct says their vendor is not making the casting any more. I am not sure who made the boom. I need possible sources and ideas.

How old ? Around 2000 Catalina was using mostly Isomat spars, you will need to figure out which boom profile you have to source parts. Most reliable but not cheapest source is Rigrite, here's one possibility: Isomat NB55 Boom

Hello Richard. Welcome to SBO. Sorry too hear about the broken GooseNeck.

This past summer, the owners here at SBO acquired a warehouse of Catalina parts. I would reach out to the shop hear.
A PM to @Dave Groshong or @Phil Herring might be a way to start the query. Provide the details of your boat.

There may be just what you are looking for in the Warehouse.

I have already ordered the upper assembly of the Boom Vang from Rigrite. It is supposed to ship from France in about 3 weeks. The boat was built in 1992.

What are the phone numbers or email addresses to reach Dave Groshong and Phil Herring at the SBO warehouse?
I was sailing by Cape Hatteras several weeks ago when I had an accidental jibe from a strong side gust. It broke my Jibe Preventer, Goose Neck, and the top end of my Boom Vang. I tied the broken Goose Neck back to the Mast and on to Norfolk.

You can reach them right here... Send them a PM (private message)
Use the little envelope in the upper right corner of the page, by your name.

Then just start typing their names in the "Recipients": block. Their address will appear, or a list of names starting with the same letters, automatically. Select their name and the address in the forum will be entered.

Type in your message and they will get back to you through the SBO forum. Very easy and private.
