That style of boat
Of course some, myself included consider a narrow boat to be a better offshore boat then the modern boats. The CCA style of boat with long ends and narrow beam has a better motion at sea and is more likely to have a more even forward and aft distribution of underwater volume or curve of area then a modern boat. The shape is more likely to be self-steering then a modern boat. And of course in bad weather it’s easier to move about or stay put in a narrow boat. If you do get knocked about below deck you have less distance to get thrown in a narrow boat. All in all I like the CCA style and own a Tartan 34C for that reason.All the best,Robert Gainer
