Well, they are starting off on lakes in Montana, so we'll have to see where this leads. It's more like her finding somebody to keep up with her world and contribute to the lifestyle. Right now, Linda is an ocean lover living north of Cabo on the Pacific. She'll spend the next month or so surfing before she migrates north again to Montana for the summer. Boyfriend is from Nantucket, so he must have sailing in his blood, but he seems happy in the mountains. I'm thinking La Paz will be a jumping off point if it ever comes to that but first step is a trailer-sailer in the mountains. Linda has 2 vacation homes now (her ski resort pad and her surfing pad in Mexico) and somehow she makes ends meet while she continues to travel. She has spent a lot of time in Thailand and some time surfing and learning yoga in Indonesia. She recently fell in love with Greece. I can see her wanderlust as a natural progression into sailing, but it has taken longer than I would have expected ... probably because her primary home base is in the mountains and there are so many land-based adventures. But she does seek the water on a regular basis.@Scott T-Bird ,
As an 18 year old kid, I can say that it's every young sailor's dream to buy a boat and sail away to the Bahamas or something with their girlfriend! Granted, your daughter is more than likely older than me, but that's so awesome that her and her boyfriend are thinking of taking on that opportunity! My girlfriend and I (almost been together for a year now) have bonded a whole lot on the water, and she enjoys racing just as well as cruising! A girl who's willing to explore her boyfriend's world is something really special!![]()
