Scott is correct. I've been on Norman and Wylie both, and 49 is about your only overhead obstacle to speak of. Again, small narrow lake that will require a lot of maneuvering. Wylie always struck me as a "party lake", as evidenced by the power boats rafted up near the bridge, and adjacent sandbars.
I doubt seriously that you would consider a home purchase on account of the sailing, (I don't know, I do), but Lake Norman is FAR, FAR, and above your better sailing lake. 530 miles of shoreline, commonly 90 ft. depths, I can sail a big boat there. And have. Just an opinion mate. But I worked my ass off tacking that lake, (Wylie).
