bottom surface area on Cat 270

Hi all,

I have a Catalina 270 and am going to be re-painting the bottom with new anti-fouling paint. Does anyone know what the surface area is on the bottom? Bottom line (no pun intended!) is how much paint will I need to order. I see on the WM web site that the Interlux products will cover 450-475 sq. ft. per gallon. Will one gallon be enough? Thanks for your input.

I don't know the surface area of the bottom of my boat, but one gallon is more than enough to cover the bottom of my Catalina 27 which is a similar size to your boat.

I just did a bottom job on my 270 in Sept. I bought paint from Epaint and got 2 gallons. I did 2 full coats and more on the waterline and on the leading edges and I have about half of the 2nd gallon left.

btw, could you give some advice on winterizing the freshwater system on this boat?
