I am looking at a boat which I included a link to that has had the bottom reskinned. Can some one tell me what it means? I have put an offer on this boat, if it is accepted I will be bringing (sailing, motoring) it to San Diego. thanks, -CW

Blister Repair

Chip, I believe re-skinning the bottom means that the gelcoat was peeled off (skinned), and then an epoxy barrier coat was applied, followed by a few coats of bottom paint. Usually done as a repair for blisters. If done professionally should not reappear. If done poorly......Good luck. It looks like a great boat. Super clean for its age!
