The hatch dog latch broke so I need to replace it. It’s held in place by a pin. Anyone know how to get that pin out ? (Ignore the extra wire..it was used to hold down the hatch while I fix the latch)

I used to have a boat with Bomar hatches like this. I recall that you need a roll-pin punch to knock those pins out. I don't recall what size.

The latch dog snapped at the red line. There is a roll pin that goes through the hole (green arrow) need to know how to get the roll pin out.

FYI- the lazy jib sheet lodged under the hatch and the jib filled with air before I could tighten the opposite jib sheet. The pressure from the jib on the sheet ripped the hatch open. Lesson learned.
Yes, you should be able to see the end of the roll pin; use the right size punch and punch it out with a nice, light hammer.
Completed successfully. The pin is called a tension pin. I tried a nail, a screw, a bolt none of them worked to get the tension pin out. When I bought the correct punch it was easy. Buy the punch ! Also you will see in the photo for the last part I used a vice grip. Clamp the vice grip on the pin and hit the vice grip with the hammer. The new latch dog and pin went in easily. Mission accomplished.

It's the same as a roll pin, as I had mentioned. Did you use a roll pin punch?
I have a set of roll pin punches. It's a common fastener on AR style rifles. The roll pin punch works well, a normal pin punch not nearly as well.
