When I worked in a boat yard, we used a pressure washer to clean boat bottoms. It took the barnacles off pretty quickly. We also used it to cut the foam blocks that we set the boats on top of when we put them on the hard. On occasion, we used it to cut wooden 2 x 4's too. If you were not careful with it, it would punch a hole through a hull.
