Can anyone tell me where on-line I can go to see what the "Blue Book" value is for any given sailboat? Thanks in advance.. RadioOp

Our public library has current copies. Perhaps

yours does also. "fair market value is the price in money that a knowledgable buyer will pay to a knowledgable sell after a reason exposure to the market for any item that is for sale." Edited for spelling

The value of a boat is directly...

proportional to the location of the marina and the number of surrounding marinas with like boats. If you have only one marina with one yacht broker, you are going to pay premium prices for a boat that is not worth the price. Especially if the boat comes with a slip in that marina. Seriously, I would look at Yacht World for the boat you want, then get the prices for all boats of that make that are in a close proximity to you. That should give you a good idea. i.e. there are no Catalina 34s in my marina (Oceanside, Ca.) for sale. However there are about 10 for sale in San Diego bay. All within my budget but the location is not suitable for me. That is my call. You might also try Nada.com and go to the Consumer section. Good luck.

Thanks

Thanks all. I'm sure I can find what I'm looking for now. I wanted to do a little research before I take a look at a boat next weekend. Happy Sailing
