That's not much to go on. What kind of sailing do you do? Where? Size range? Budget?
I just missed out on a cal 36 cruiser at 1300. I want around 35ft. Project like my other tread says. And budget is key word that's why I am looking at auctions

That one looks awfully rough. Bilge Keel boats have 2 keels.
These boats can get closer to shore and in the case of a shallow bay can sit on the bottom during tidal low water. The Boat in the book about the British sailor was a bilge keel boat.
They sail fine down wind or off the wind, but are not usually great up wind sailers.

I have read that...but the fact I can beach at high tide to do things like scrap hull or swap out a fitting is very nice
In order to take advantage of the twin keels and drying out, you have to be in a place with a large tidal range, probably 10 feet or greater. These boats are popular in the UK because they have a very large tidal range. If you have a 4 foot range, by the time the boat is dry enough to work on, the tide is coming back in.
