Need to do a complete rewire on the Albin Vega. I'm considering doing it myself, but I'd like to buy my way out of it if I can find someone trustworthy. The boat is on a trailer and could be taken to their location.

Charlie Johnson at JTB Marine is about the best there is but be prepared for a major expense. It is the labor/time not that Charlie is more expensive than anyone else..

Even after buying the tools needed, all of them, you'll still save many thousands if you DIY. One way to save money is to present the boat electrically gutted other than engine specific wiring and with a general list and basic drawing of what you want/need. Where it really gets expensive is if the job gets into drilling hundreds of bungs and refinishing. I have had to do this on a few boats and $$$$$$...

Thanks, Maine. "The best there is" is who I want to talk to.

I'll reach out to Charlie, and try to get a feel for what kind of ballpark we're in. My own time can be pretty expensive also, so there's a good chance that I might actually come out ahead by doing my own thing, and paying him to do his. We'll see!
