Even after buying the tools needed, all of them, you'll still save many thousands if you DIY. One way to save money is to present the boat electrically gutted other than engine specific wiring and with a general list and basic drawing of what you want/need. Where it really gets expensive is if the job gets into drilling hundreds of bungs and refinishing. I have had to do this on a few boats and $$$$$$...
