M&K, why is there no water under your boat in pic2?

Tim, It draws a little less than your beautiful caliber 40.....quite a bit;). It'll go 60mph upwind(uphill for that matter) and in the right anchorage you can step from the stern to dry sand in one step but blue water better be blowin' under 25kts and stay that way. Another pic from last weekend explains the sand at the stern.

I wonderd the same thing until I saw the other pic in the Best Pic Thread. Looking at the thumbnails, I also wondered why you had two pool noodles on the side of your boat ;)

Here's a couple pics from a choice run down the coast to Cayo Costa last weekend. I took a ton of shots but now have a new appreciation of how hard it is to get the right shot. Kudos to the work you've shared on your former blogs.

"Full time cruising in the near future" There's a beauty in being able to stick to a plan like that, even when you want to play(especially when you're being tempted to skip out). You're on to something good that'll surely work out well. All our best as you both work the plan.

Now I better get back to the grindstone myself.

Did Cayo Costa weekend before last. It was so good we stayed an extra day. Would have stayed longer but out of ice and booze. Wonderful 4 days.

Hey Soling,

Love the way you have the Yak fenders attached. I was debating on adding a sit on top to my boat toy collection but was unsure how best to secure it. How well do they ride like that in choppy seas? They stay pretty stationary or do they bounce against the sides of the mothership?

Thanks and Fair Winds,

Brian, Just pullin' your chain dude. I know what hard workers you both are and hoped you were doing some sailing soon. hey we're going over to the Sun-n-Fun airshow next weekend. You'd enjoy it if you haven't been. Like an awesome 3 ring circus for aviation types w/mostly private and some military planes from huge to tiny. A week long event with Saturday being the best. Kelli was hesitant to go but loved it last year. Tons of vendors and innovative tech types.......

SM8, I hate it when you run out of booze or ice, that's why CC is a fav with the civilization of Boca Grande just across the pass;)

WTA, our "green noodles" are identical and counterbalance each other firmly connected outside the lifelines in good seas. They're only held on by a simple tie-down over each end fwd/aft with a bow line added in case one ejects itself. I'd haul them on deck only if the wind was over 25kts.
