I bought this boat in Nov. 06 and it has always had water in the bilge that I could not trace the source. Now the water is turning Blackish, we have ruled oil as the problem. This week I did discover thet the clean-out port on the fresh tank under the Vbirth is leaking, but I'm not convinced that is the only source and will pursue all othe possibilities, but this bring up several other questions. How does the water reach the bilge from the tank, there does not seem to be a open passage? The marina discovered that when the bilge liner, seems to a unfinshed woven mat type surface, if pushed with a finger it oozes the blackish water. They think that the water has reached the lead keel and is being discolored by it and even smells like it. Is this possible? Is there a way to better seal off the bilge from the keel? There is a crack in the bottom of the keel just forward of the most rearward port side keel bolt. I was told early on that this was common and to not worry about it. Yes I need to work harder to sove any water leaks the boat has, but this blackish water problem serios. Can any of you offer any ideas or solutions. I can't beleive that this is a first.Nick FletcherC30TRBSFIN #4639
