Hi I have black spots on the deck of my Oday 26. Getting them off the nonskid is possing a problem. I used mequires oxidation remover on the rest of the deck and it works fine. The problem is getting them off the nonskid. I spent about 8 hrs and only have 1/4 of the deck done. Has anyone had this problem and found a product or method that works. Thanks Bill

I am a 26 owner also but the boat make and model does not matter. Same thing occurred on a 23 that I used to own. I have used Tilex to remove the black spots off of my non-skid and for the more stubborn spots Soft Scrub with bleach.
I would be very careful with deck cleaners guys. I used a cleaner years ago that contained Oxalic acid and it literally ate out the caulking under my gunwale strip. After that, I had leaks coming into the cabin up the ying yang. The caulking under this molding is only good for about 10 years, but if you need to recaulk the molding you need to remove it and it's easier to do that job on the hard.
After that episode I stopped using deck cleaners and went back to soap and water. With that said though, some of the guys on this forum have used Mr. Clean Magic erasers with good results. I've also tried it inside my cockpit but I'm still leery of using something that can cause leaks later on down the road.

I use the magic sponges last lear and did the same this year.
I have a pesky oak tree out back that really make a mess. The sponges do the trick but they do contain a super fine abrasive, use them on non-shiny surfaces and you're good to go.

Hey Joe, Check this out, you know I'm docked at Edgewater inside the breakwall of Cleveland. Last year my depth guage (at dock), read 8.5 ft, the water is a bit higher this year at 10.5ft. I now have to step- up - onto my boat!
You guys got a lot of water on those lakes this past spring. We went through that same scenario a couple of years ago right here in my city, Taunton Ma., and we go National news coverage. Old mill dams in our city were threatening to wash away and flood the city. I lucked out. I only had 6" of water down my cellar. My neighbor who lives on the water across the street from me had 4.5' of water in her cellar. I was able to paddle my kayak right into my neighbor's back yard.
We're 44" above chart datum so far this season, but still 14" below record levels in '86.

It really depends on the streams that flow into your lake Gabe. we have more that one river that flows into our lake from several towns to the North. Then our lake flows into some river's that flow into the Taunton River which is connected to Mount Hope and Narragansett Bays. The Taunton River also has tides which can constrict the flow of the rivers leading out of the lake and cause high water in the lake. It really has a lot to do with the dams and how they are controlled too.
