Bi-Level Bimini
I recently replaced our first bimini on our '91 30T with a bi-level bimini. It allows me to stand at the helm and look out over the top of the "main" bimini. It works well for us as we added a leather rub strip on the outside top of that bimini to alleviate wear when the boom touched. With the topping lift tightened, there is no chafe. When under sail with the topping lift released, there is no noticable rubbing.I can also stow the bimini against the backstays when desired. Any reputable canvas shop that builds biminis ought to be able to build one for your 30.
