bilge pump

Hi, i have a Pearson 27 1987 and want to install a bilge pump.
I already have the manual pump and the hose goes through a hole in the bilge.

But i don't have enough space to pass an other hose through the same hole.

Is there any one that has the same boat and where did you pass the hose?

Do you have pictures?

Sorry to be late to the party, as it were...

You have two choices regarding how to route the water out: Add check valves to the manual pump and the automatic bilge pump, so the output of one can't back-feed thru the other, or make an entirely new outlet for the new pump.

If you go with the check valve solution, make certain any pump you buy will be able to overcome the resistance of the check valve. Some pumps do not have high enough initial head pressure to do that.

The second solution is generally regarded as preferable.
