Right now I have a manual Whale pump to pump out the bilge on my C27. I want to install two electric pumps (a small one for regular use and a bigger 'backup' one), but I'm weary of drilling some more holes in the hull to drain them. I was considering running the bilge out lines into the top of the cockpit drain line(w/PVC and or fiberglass to join the hose to the cockpit drain). It will be roughly the same height as my current bilge drain. I'd probably put a loop in before I joined it to the cockpit drain (to prevent backflow). Maybe even some kind of plastic scupper where the bilge line meets the drain... Does this sound crazy or do you think this might work? Any idea / comments would be appreciated. Thanks, Cris
