come on folks

Ducati said "best sailing" pictures not best boat or sunset.:doh:
Lets add some rigor to defining "best sailing"
IMHO a picture has to have the following to even qualify as a sailing picture;
Some boat part,
An attractive (or not) individual doing something fun or dangerous,
Drinks or food or both

Not that a sunset can't be included but I have plenty of susnset pictures that don't even involve boating. Quite frankly some of you guys/galls need to read your digital camera manuals. the chapter on "composing a picture"

I'll be posting when I get home tonight after going to the boat and getting pictures of my bilge pump discharging, a ham sandwidch in my hand and the moon in the background.

Here are a couple pictures of my wife, our dog, and I sailing our Newport 16 on Walled Lake in Michigan. What a great summer for sailing.

This is my boat taken in the Whitebread Regatta XVII in October. Photo credit to Bridget Walker of North Fork Memories (No commercial use without permission). Since I didn't take it I can complement her. It is probably an electronic artifact but it looks like a really good waxing job on the hull. It is, in fact, not up to Mainesail's standards but thanks to 1's and 0's looks pretty good.
I second the dolphins for an award.

Hey Princess, it was the inaugural running of the Superior Solo Scramble. Two starting lines, Duluth and Bayfield, one finish line at Silver Bay. The idea is that each fleet had to sail a course of 100 miles so we had a waypoint turning mark to round out in the middle of the lake. Of 17 entries, only 9 finished. I placed 2nd. The Duluth crew had a really rough go of it. Here's a little video of the Duluth fleet just trying to get outside of the break wall at the Superior entrance, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aYOYAclYXPk

I stuck this thread to the top since I was considering the same thing recently... we need some sailing pics to relieve the winter blahs...

Ain't no way I'm going to set out ANY rules ..... just as long as its related to sailboats .... ham sandwich or no ham sandwich .... but if you have sunset pictures taken from or near your sailboat please share..

Ok, you have to tell us.

In #3, behind the incredibly gorgeous lady, is a tightly tucked mosquito net.

How did you get it like that without doing it from the inside and crawling out the front hatch?
