Wow, Danny!

Hey Princess, it was the inaugural running of the Superior Solo Scramble. Two starting lines, Duluth and Bayfield, one finish line at Silver Bay. The idea is that each fleet had to sail a course of 100 miles so we had a waypoint turning mark to round out in the middle of the lake. Of 17 entries, only 9 finished. I placed 2nd. The Duluth crew had a really rough go of it. Here's a little video of the Duluth fleet just trying to get outside of the break wall at the Superior entrance, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aYOYAclYXPk
Holy Cow! Those poor guys just trying to get out on the lake. I hadn't heard of the event but kudos to you for doing it! Great pics by the way.

That netting

Ok, you have to tell us.

In #3, behind the incredibly gorgeous lady, is a tightly tucked mosquito net.

How did you get it like that without doing it from the inside and crawling out the front hatch?
behind me is a fitted piece that covers the companionway. It is attached by velcro inside the companionway but it can be adjusted from the outside because the vertical piece hangs loose.

Let's try again, BMP's didn't load right

OK...Dolphi is an action shot with split second timing. The gator was waiting on the eighteenth hole at turtle point on Kiawah island, about a ten footer. The admiral at the helm, finally Hankster sailing Little Jan my Arch Davis designed Sand Dollar home made dinghy out of Noank, sail trim is a bit poor don't you think? The rig is called a lug sail.

I always enjoy Launch day, the first pic is of the Susan Marie ready for the new season to bring my family together for fun and relaxation.

The second is of me on a test run, checking out the rigging, hoping I did it right!

The third is admiring her new anchor pulpit.

The fourth is my daughter and my son in-law (who helped a lot getting the Susan Marie ready for the season) toasting to great times on the water.

The fifth is my wife and I enjoying the sail while my son in-law is at the helm.

The sixth is my daughter enjoying the new swim platform

The last one is a photo OP of the Susan Marie, doing what she was designed to do, glide through the water creating more memories.

We were sailing off Cape Ann one beautiful day last August when we got got buzzed by a plane that appeared to be about 200 feet off the deck. We were contacted in October by Yacht-Shots.com out of Flagler Beach, FL with some absolutely gorgeous shots of our Concordia, Raka.
